With more than 40 years’ experience in the commercial property industry, John is one of Queensland’s most respected property industry leaders. As General Manager Commercial Businesses, John leads Brisbane Airport Corporation’s (BAC) property development and management, parking and transport businesses, helping the company deliver significant growth opportunities for Queensland through the airport operation and the development potential of its site.
Before joining BAC, John was the Director of property consultancy business Tormey Property. As an independent consultant, John provided strategic advice to a number of large developer and investor clients including BAC’s property division. This included the development and/or sale of Green Star office buildings, distribution centres, major warehouse buildings and the Northshore Hamilton property master plan.
John spent 17 years as the Managing Director of Jones Lang LaSalle in Queensland. During this time he led the generation of major business with institutional and development clients and was responsible for numerous commercial and retail developments throughout the state.
He is a registered valuer, licensed Real Estate agent, Fellow of the Australian Property Institute, Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
