Property industry leader joins Brisbane Airport Corporation

One of Queensland’s most respected property industry leaders, John Tormey, will lead Brisbane Airport Corporation’s (BAC) property and car parking team from early 2014.
BAC CEO and Managing Director Julieanne Alroe said she was delighted Mr Tormey had chosen to join the Corporation at such an exciting time.

Mr Tormey has more than 40 years’ experience in the property industry, including 17 years as Managing Director/Executive Chairman of Jones Lang LaSalle in Queensland and as a Director of property consultancy business Tormey Property.
As part of BAC’s senior management team in the position of General Manager Commercial Businesses, Mr Tormey will lead BAC’s property development and management, parking and transport businesses, helping the company deliver significant growth opportunities for Queensland through the airport operation and the development potential of its site.
In particular, Mr Tormey will oversee the commercial delivery of the Property Development Master Plan that will guide the transformation of developable airport land to create high-quality, highly-connected and sustainable developments.
